Time to Hibernate!




The students of room 3 enjoyed their annual day of hibernation. The students have been learning about hibernating animals and had some hands on experience today with the help of their sleeping bags and some good books!

Unlike bears and squirrels, their hibernation was interrupted with a visit from Miss McFarland to see if they wanted to try out for the talent show. This year's talent show will be held on February 27, at 1:45. We hope to see everyone there!

Safe Surf for Kids

Today students from rooms 1, 6, 7, 8 & 9 participated in the Safe Surf classes presented by Jewish Family & Children's Service. The students were reminded of the importance of not sharing personal information online and keeping an open communication with their parents about what they are doing while surfing the net.

Safe Surf Workshops





Do you ever worry about your child's safety while they surf the internet? Join us on Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m. for our parent seminar on internet safety presented by Jewish Family & Children's Services of St. Louis.

The students in rooms 1, 6, 7, 8 & 9 will have classroom seminars the following day with counselors to help instill the importance of keeping information private. We hope that these seminars help to keep our students safe and our parents well informed.

Gingerbread Man Project 2008


This December the students in Rooms 4, 5A and 5B participated in a project called the Gingerbread Man Project. Each classroom participated in an activity centered around the story of the Gingerbread Man. Read More!

Holiday Fun



Miriam prepared for the holidays in many fun ways the week before our Winter Break. Teams 1 and 2 attended the Piwacket Theater to see The Snowman's Revenge. Team 1 even had a special visitor while at the play!

Team 3 was busy enjoying the caroling of Mrs. Cognata and playing Holiday Jeopardy.






Room 1 also sponsored a coat drive benefiting recent immigrants and refugees through the JCRC Bohm Social Justice Initiative at the Jewish Federation. Miriam families again showed their generous nature!
