Welcome to the first installment of the Miriam News. Our "news crew" consists of several talented and ambitious students in the upper school. We have been working hard over the last month to learn the various jobs that are needed to create a news cast. This week Miriam School is talking about Internet Safety. The first of our Miriam Empowers Through Education workshops was held in the library last night. Kathleen Hawkins from Jewish Family and Children's Service came to speak with parents about the dangers facing our children in today's technological world.
The students in Rooms 1, 6, 7, 8 & 9 will participate in the student version of this workshop on Thursday, October 7. Recourses from the workshop are available in the office or can be found on the School Community Page on the Parent Resources page. I encourage you to discuss internet safety tips with your child at home to reinforce what they have learned here at school.
